ABOUT THE BRAND

Please & Thank You Co. was born as a joke. I was broke, making art, and laughing to myself — just buy my art, please and thank you.

But the more I sat with it, the more I realized how much weight those words held.

Women are expected to perform politeness. To be ladylike, reserved, careful with our words. To soften every ask, to claim what we deserve in a way that’s palatable — never direct, never demanding. Smile. Bat your lashes. Say please and thank you, even when you’re simply claiming your worth. Men are encouraged to demand. We are taught to request.

Please & Thank You Co. is the refusal. Hypersexual and nurturing. Political and playful. Devastating and dark. Hyperfeminine, satirical, and surreal. This work contains multitudes because women do — and this brand has never been interested in pretending otherwise.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Paige Marder is a New York-based painter, model, and founder of Please & Thank You Co. Her work spans the full emotional spectrum — sharp political commentary, dark surrealism, and unabashed humor — driven by a deep investment in the female experience and the world as it actually is. She uses her art to amplify the voices and stories that deserve to be louder.
